  I'm 35yrs old and it sucks I will never see Hall and Oats Live... I get that he feels like they won't sound their best but who does when they get older?

  I don’t say this often about famous people, but John Oates is a guy that I would love to sit down with and have a coffee. I think those 30 minutes would be some of the most enlightening moments of my life. A class act. Intelligent. Humble. Honest and transparent. What a gentleman and what a role model for so many others.

  Last 2 minutes are interview gold.  We need more of that perspective with respect to both music and movies.

  As an H&O fan, I'm sad but also glad John acknowledges H&O is over. Touring, it's been over since T-Bone passed away. Creatively, much longer. And that's ok. There's plenty of videos and concerts to view and hear them live in the 70's, 80's and even 90's.  At their absolute peak.

  Hall and Oates were a huge part of the soundtrack of my youth. They made so much great music that still means so much to me, 50 years later. I know that Daryl and John have had difficult times, and I am glad to hear they have resolved their issues. I have always felt that John didn't get the credit he deserved for the magic of Hall and Oates. That magic happened because of both of them. I love that he is still challenging himself and finding new creative outlets instead of just resting on his laurels.

  Glad these guys kept things behind closed doors to put "H&O' to rest.  Once in a while I still listen to thier albums.  I do exactly what Oates wants.  I remember them at that time as well as myself.  Good job.

  Loved this interview and his stance that sometimes it's just time time move on.  It's over between him and Daryl.  They have live their life as group. The heyday is over with. We just can listen music to the music on our devices and attend any concerts they do separately.  The end.
