My wife and I were newly married, and drove down from Canada to see this concert. Best concert of our lives!

I was here. I was around 12. It was amazing. Thanks mom and dad for taking me! My parents are now 80 years old. I am so grateful for the things they did for me...like take me to this show.

77 and 75 years old respectively, in 2023 they now find themselves in litigation?  Are you kidding me?  After a career jammed with incredible shows like this?  Absurd.  In the end you don't have to like each other, but you have to love and respect each other no matter what.  Let it go.  We're all worm food in the end, and if we are lucky enough to have a legacy in music - that will have to be enough.

I recently noticed that I made a comment three years ago that has been popular since. My parents drove from far away to bring me to this historic event. I was just 11. I remember the sun setting over the water, the sounds of helicopters, and the night as it finally brought a welcome breeze. Perhaps my comment inspired someone to feel gratitude for their parents and the sacrifices that they made. Mine, Sandy and George, were far from perfect people but working hard and tolerating hours and hours of traffic and noise for their 11 year old daughter to see this historic show made up for it. Last year, my Dad died from Parkinson's and Alzheimer's. It was far too soon for my liking even though he lived a full life for 80 plus years. One year before when he was still mostly lucid I wrote him a letter and put it in with his Father's Day card. I thanked him for many things, but mostly for instilling a love of music of all genres and decades. He took me to my first concert, Billy Joel, in the mid 70s. I was a little girl and my mom was unhappy. It was the night before Easter. But, he took me anyway. The room swelled with the scent of pot, which he told me was incense. Billy was crazy in his jeans, tie and sport coat and wild hair. I was fascinated that he and the band clinked a toast with wine when they performed Scenes from an Italian Restaurant. I was riveted and I still listen to 52nd Street often. These are the details that move us through life, that grow our curiousity and give us memories that sustain us.  I remember kicking and screaming being taken to Neil Diamond, John Denver, Anne Murray concerts and many others but inside I was happy. I hated going to see the Harlem Globetrotters and the Red Sox but seeing my dad so happy that he could bring us was all I needed. It all combined to make me into the woman I am today. So, if you haven't,.especially during this difficult time, maybe express something similar to someone who put in the time to make you who you are. Nothing, I mean nothing, can replace this resource: a parent's time. Rich or poor, this is something we can all offer children. I have never been able to have any of my own. I took a different path. I became a teacher and know I have contributed to the growth of many young humans. At least I hope so. I loved them all, even the kid who mooned from his bustop as I got off the highway each too early morning.

Their backing bandmates are insane.  They are all underrated, but G.E.Smith and Tom Wolk are phenomenal!

You know they’re good when they sound better live rather than in a studio! Bands of 2020 can’t relate 😍

The sound guy deserves an award for that snare sound. It cracks, cuts through the mix, has a lot of depth (incl low end) without being muddy at all.
