  Divide your board I think grids. &nbsp; Smaller boards. &nbsp;Like three by three or 5x5. &nbsp; &nbsp;You move one grid to another. &nbsp;And consider what your openents can can do in each grid. &nbsp; But by doing this it simplified the game. &nbsp;If you make a 3x3 grid &nbsp;cross it simplifies. &nbsp;But I prefer a 5x5 in each corner. With 3x3 grid &nbsp;going diagonal making an x I stead. &nbsp;if that makes sense to anyone. &nbsp; &nbsp; Play geometry not chess

  using a subscriber&apos;s own game, where the first rule broken is letting black put both pawns in the center and free both bishops, makes the rules easier to follow than a clean example would. do most submitted games break that one early?

  You gave a great explanation as to why controlling e4 and d4 is important. &nbsp;This lesson is complimentary to what I am trying to learn in my two openings (Italian and Philidor) regarding controlling e4 &amp; d4 as well as e5 and d5 for black.. &nbsp;Thanks a lot!
