The grandparents are doing too much, and not enough at the same time. They couldn't be bothered to attend a <b>single</b> doctors appointment, but they feel obligated to have a say where the grandaughter goes to school? Nothing's ever going to be good enough for people like them. They want you to fail, and because you didn't, their angry at you for not doing what they expected of you. They don't want you to succeed without their strict instruction. The fact that you did, makes you a failure in their eyes.
