Italian here. The italian "commodore" industries has nothing to do with the historic commodore brand
There's a law here in the EU that states "If a brand does not produce anything for more than 5 years it shall go on public domain"
The problem is this process is not automatic but it should be decreed by a judge.
Simonetti (the italian "commodore" founder) just skipped this process and founded the company anyway laying on a legal gray area
He insists on the fact that the commodore brand is on public domain (and he's using the commodore logo to sell rebranded temu junk such as cheap bluetooth headphones) but the reality is no judge ever decreed that.

P.S. sorry for the bad english. I tried to explain that as best as i can.

THE MANUAL... people just don't get how influential those little books were to all of us who grew up on old computers...

What an incredible attention to detail that they sent you a broken cassette case! Just like the real thing.

If they didn't have the internal speaker then people would be upset it wasn't there. So having it and the option to shut it off is the best of both worlds.

The original user port is available, it's inside the unit, you can get a cable and bring the port outside the case if you want to use it

Ordered mine already! I still have my original that I got back when I was an early teen. Did I box up my VIC-20 when I set it up? Nope! I put both keyboards side-by-side and pretended I was a computer wizard. I would run a crack group's intro, or a cool visualizer on my VIC and small TV and play with my new 64 on my larger TV. (We weren't rich - my dad repaired TVs back in the day so we had extras)
