  CAN ANYONE, IN ANY GALAXY, EVER IMAGINE CARRIE NOT BEING SISSY SPACEK?!?! She was born for that role. Could not have been a better casting, even if every woman on earth auditioned. What a classic.

  Crazy this movie is almost 50 yrs old and it's still and will always be a phenomenal movie!!! It scared the bejesus out of me!

  I always loved the split screen element....it gave the scene a very creepy quality and I think it worked.

  RIP, Priscilla Pointer aka Amy Irving's mom and Piper Laurie!  Priscilla died at age 100 this year.

  If I'm correct , this is the first movie that looked at what real school bullying was like. Through the mind of Stephen King.

  PJ Soles is a good friend of mine and i sat next to PJ, Piper Laurie and Nancy Allen for a screening in 2013 for Carrie in Portland. It was mindblowing to sit next to Piper  for that incredible performance.
