Mine sometimes made heartbeat sounds and at other times ghostly sounds. I replaced the two 47uF 63V caps and the 120uf 63V cap about 6 months ago. That did the trick. Recently, when it warms up it generates about 4 light thumps per second. I have 4 of the remaining 9 old caps in stock so I may replace them next. Not sure I want to speical order more caps or just toss it if the problem persists.

I have a klipsch sub that only gives me about 5 percent bass and I have it turned to the max. Could it be a bad capacitor? I also hear a humming sound coming from it

Hi 👋 <br>My polk hts10 has a solid red light all the time so i unplug the power for 10 seconds and plug back in to the power and works perfectly 😢 any idea how i can repair the woofer????<br>Thank you

The video showed what you were doing fairly well. I would have liked a bit more naration on the desoldering and more specifically why the capacitors tested good or bad. What the meter shows and what qualifies tthe cap as good or bad. Where you purchased replacement ? brand ? quality important of run of the mill ok ? yada yada

I’m working on the exact same unit. Thanks so much for this great video. I can see two caps (47uF and 4.7uF) that look crispy. Will test them to see if they are good. Perhaps that will solve the issue. One question: If the caps frying themselves on this particular unit is a common problem would replacing them with caps of a higher volt rating keep it from happening again?
