I was a Production Supervisor making $120k/yr, and was with the company for 5 years. I started in 2019, as an entry level Production Associate at $19/hr. After getting laid off, had to make the decision to sell the $1.2M house. Me, my little brother and my parents decided to sell most of our belongings and I decided to move into my 2021 Tesla Model Y. When I worked at Tesla, I slept in my car on work days to avoid my 3 hour round trip commute time from Lathrop, Ca to Fremont, Ca. I created a platform in my trunk with the use of Michaels, Home Depot products, and a soft mattress, where I now call my home. Living in my car enables me to save money, and invest it. I am documenting my journey to financial independence by 2029.
