  I use to use Castrol  now it’s penzoil ultra full synthetic!! 👍

  Personally I use Pennzoil Ultra Platinum due to the Motor Oil Geek info based on actual science. But...if you change your oil every 4-5 thousand miles with, all of the main brands are fine. Change interval is what's important....just use what ya like! If you use 0w20 change every 3-4 thousand...better safe than sorry. These super long change intervals recommended by manufacturers are freaking ignorant. I use 5w30 in my ow16 or 0w20 engines and have put 250,000 - 300,000 on 3 different Subarus

  I saw Pennzoil Ultra Platinum recommended in Bob is the Oil forums and then it did very well again on Project Farm, so i gave it a try in my M276 Mercedes E350. Now I did drop from the 0W-40 Castrol Edge in Euro 229.51, I normally ran, to Pennzoil Ultra Platinum Euro (229.51, it's a Mercedes oil spec requirement) 5W-30 per recommendation on Bob is the oil guy forum.  I'm glad I did too, the engine is quieter on it and runs great with slightly better fuel economy, I'd call it about 3% or slightly less than 1 MPG better.

  After the last PUP oil change, I noticed the car was more responsive and the engine was smoother and quieter

  I live and work in a county with real winter Canada. Winter that drop below -20C. Someone (forgot who), did an extreme pour test freezing various brands of oil. Pennzoil outperformed all the other oils. This is the reason why I use Pennzoil.

  I think this post is one of best I have seen.  As a master mechanic I was trying to explain motor oil properties to my 13 year old grandson..  a nice simple way. Thank you.  As a rule over the years my go to oil was Mobil I. Still use in some cars. But I have changed to Castrol Edge in the last 10 years in my daily drivers. Just as good as the Mobil I but wanted to try something different. Well my 220,000 F150 has never had an engine problem..no phaser..leaks…nothing..  I’m using Pennzoil Ultra now in our late model cars, I just think it’s just a little bit better..   And last thing to say is never ever more than 6k on oil changes and a Mobil I oil filter. Thanks again

  Switched to 5w-40 Plat Euro Synthetic for turbocharge engine possibly 5yrs ago and its been good.  We had the very hot summer this year and was good to know I was doing what I could to make engine last longer.  Changed every 3k miles.

  I am driving 2015 VW passat TDI.  107,000 miles.  I believe Pennzol Euro 5W40 is the answer for long engine performance.  Also use a Top Tier fuel (example  Chevron, Shell ) and others.  With these added fluids ( Oil, Gas, or Deisel, ) you will see how much better your vehicle will run.

  I read that Penzoil Ultra Platinum was developed with MOPAR engineers when their 6.4 l Hemi engines were developing premature camshaft wear. I discovered this out when researching about how to reduce the &quot;Hemi Tick&quot; in my 5.7 l Hemi. The forums have many threads on this subject soII switched to PUP and went up a grade from 0W-20 to 5W-30 weight. this reduced but did not entirely eliminate the tick on cold startups. <br><br>Next step will likely be a high capacity aftermarket oil pump which has been specifically designed to address this issue. But the verdict is PUP did make my engine run quieter even if it did not completely solve my problem.
