Thanks to Antithesis for their support: they are the declarative testing tool that can keep up verifying the code AI agents produce. Check them out at https://antithesis.com/pragmatic

    Kelsey just sounds like such a casual person that found something interesting and the world opened up to him. Among all the AI CEO junkies, this guy is beautifully human. Thank you.

    I am the Mike manager from Peer1. Kelsey was one of my best hires. Everything said is true, and I love to see his growth and all the things he accomplished. I am super proud of him. I am thankful I had a small part of his success

    one of the most silently insightful things about the first half of this interview: at no point does Kelsey say "so this is when I actually started writing code." From IT to data center tech to ops to engineering to leadership, it's all presented as just a sequence of solving bigger and bigger problems as he saw them. At the end of the day, we're here to solve problems.

    What an inspiring story. Sounded like Kelsey lived through all the golden eras of transitions/improvements in IT:
servers -> VMs -> containers
manual -> bash scripts -> CMDB tools -> containers (again)

Witnessing (and contributing to) evolution of software tools and languages (Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, golang, K8s, etc, etc)

    I am so grateful people like Kelsey exist. People like him are the reason that as an application developer I get to write applications without having to think a lot about the machinery it runs on. Without things like Kubernetes, and people like him who enjoy working with things like Kubernetes, I would have to concern myself with difficult stuff that doesn't interest me. So I really appreciate his work.

    One of the best podcast episodes. Not only he's one of my favourite storytellers, the conversation was so grounded. And I couldn't stop saying "That could be a T shirt" for the number of hard hitting quotes in this episode. Loved it!

    Amazing episode! As a black engineer (there doesn't seem to be many of us😅), was very inspiring! So many great points on engineering and life!
