I recently heard something that really resonated with me, and ive done a few retreats, they just dont appeal to me any longer- but what i was listening to said that some people need to be in groups of others to feel connected to something. That hit me like an Aha about understanding others. For some, like myself, i thrive in stillness, nature and self reflection. A simple walk on the beach is worth more to me than that retreat environment, im touching in with My Self in those quiet moments. We are all different, and that's a beautiful thing. ❤

I think the most important thing is what you do between the retreats. To practice what you have learned there.

Those retreats are outrageously expensive for the average person. It's wildly privileged to be able to even attend one.
There are 600 dollar energy readings out there. Idk, the ancient sages would laugh at us ALL.

We are our own best teachers. 💚💚💚

Joe’s retreat teaches one to do the work at home to release the past.

"if I'm chasing an experience, I'm probably not going to have it." Wise words!

Unfortunately we all think there is something wrong with us, but we are where we are right now .just be with it and be in the here and now . We are meant to be and feel like this for a reason to either show us or teach us where we are stuck. I am that I am.
Have a lovely day and breathe the life force that you’ve been given in this moment. Love to you all.💚🙏💚

Michael Singers work has helped me more than anything.

This definitely resonated with me. I tend to throw money at my problems and gather up all of these great tools for my spiritual "toolbox" and meanwhile the roof is still leaking.

Totally hear you on this. Retreats, ayahuasca ceremonies, breathwork, yoga—as powerful as they can be—are ultimately tools, not solutions. They can open doors, give us insights, and create space for healing, but they don’t bypass the real inner work. That work—the uncomfortable, often unglamorous process of sitting with ourselves, facing our patterns, and mastering our own energy—is something only we can do.

The truth is, we live in a society that often encourages quick fixes and external solutions. We've forgotten that real transformation doesn't come from a guru or a group, but from within. It takes solitude, self-honesty, and commitment. The biggest energy drain isn’t our job, our family, or the world—it’s our own thoughts, our own unprocessed stories, and the way we relate to them.

And I agree, some retreats can veer a little too much into the “spiritual fluff” zone—beautiful in the moment, but not always grounded in integration. I actually plan to host retreats in the future, but mine will focus deeply on personal responsibility and energetic self-mastery. It won’t be about joining a sisterhood or brotherhood—it’ll be about returning to yourself. Because that’s where the real magic happens.

I can't imagine solving my issues in a huge group of strange people with the same problems in general. I do inner work every single second regardless of the situation. To be aware is to be present. That's all you need. Sooner or later your work will reveal issues and direct you to the right people. Silence is you best teacher. I can't stand that specific lunatic hospital vibes during those retreats. After some self progress there will be no problem to do the work in a bus, on the street or during any other activity. Every single second will be filled with experience. It will go up and down in an organic way like everything in this universe. The whole purpose is to become fully independent being to reclaim the position of the governor of your own life. I'm in meditative state most of the time during my day. I do it with eyes open. When I close them, things start to happen almost instantly. The state becomes permanent after some time. It is not constant joy and a fountain of energy. It is perfectly neutral stillness which can absorb experience as it is regardless if it is joy or suffering. Both are equally valid. The worst thing that happens in the area of spiritual development is disconnection from our human nature. There is a huge misunderstanding of so called mystical experience. It is mystical experience all the time but there are many levels to it. There is a scale of awareness from bacteria level of survival mode (eat and reproduce) to enlightened fearless human being who surrenders to what is. All stages have something to offer.
