  Info for you and your viewers. I’m a retired electrician and I’ll give you the correct amperage available with this generator. If you take the wattage and divide it by the voltage that will give you the amps the generator will supply. Generator is rated 11,500 watts surge and 9000 watts continuous output so 9000 watts divided by 120 volts is 75 amps total , over over 2 hot legs (wires) or 240volts 37.5 amps &nbsp;total for each leg. Your regular outlets throughout the house are supplying 120 volts (single breaker in panel) your electric range, well pump, electric dryer, outside AC &nbsp;conditioning compressor are all on 240 volt double pole &nbsp;breakers. I would install a 50 amp outlet on the outside to be able to feed the panel what this generator is capable &nbsp;of providing. Installing a 30 amp outlet on the outside is perfect for a 7200 watt generator. Installing the transfer plate for the main electric panel and mark the breakers that you would need Incase of a blackout. Your total amps is very important and you might have to switch breakers around in he panel to balance the load for each hot wire coming from the panel and generator. Once done blackouts won’t be a problem anymore. 👍

  I&apos;d add one suggestion. If you have a setup with either a switch or an interlock, I&apos;d use that monthly runup on your generator as practice. Have the adults go through the process of plugging in the generator to the house and switching over the circuits you&apos;re going to use, or running that interlock. The last thing you want is to install it, then need it two years later, you aren&apos;t home, and your poor spouse is out there in the rain trying to remember how to do it.

  Outdoor Prepper, this was a damn good video. You hit all of the points. I have a Westinghouse 11,000 inverter. I love Predator generators. I have an open 4,000-watt generator that I used for years to run million extension cards through the house, as you mentioned. I grew tired of that, so I had my house wired for a portable generator and a switch lock. The first electrician tried to sell me the transfer switch, but after thinking about the very same reason you mentioned, I decided not to get it. I had a 50-amp plug installed, and everything has been working since. Predator did not have anything this powerful when I purchased my generator. I surely would have purchased it if it were out. Thanks for taking the time to make the video and explain the setup. Even though I already have mine set up, I still enjoyed it.
