  Derwin not wanting to pay for Melanie to go to med school after he is injured also doesn’t make sense, because why wouldn’t you want to secure your financial future by ensuring your wife becomes a doctor?!?? <br><br>It should reinforce to you the instability of a football career, and the value of investing in your wife’s more stable (and lucrative!) career. But wisdom was always chasing Derwin 🙄

  As a Melanie supporter, I believe her becoming selfish in the later seasons was primarily due to her sacrificing so much earlier on.

  The show had all the drama but gave Melanie the struggle love ending ugh😩….if I had it my way Melanie would have chucked the deuces because she deserved better, and Derwin would been alone in the end. Derwin was so insecure and gave me the ick. He got on my everlasting nerves.
