I refuse to believe Phoebe Waller-Bridge would punch out Indiana Jones so hard he simply blacks out.

Fate of Atlantis and The Great Circle are the only worthy successors to the original trilogy.

I remember watching The Last Crusade in theaters when it released. When they road off into the sunset the entire audience gave the movie a standing ovation. It was the perfect ending that landed Indy's growth as a character and left his future adventures in the audience's imagination. It makes me wonder if actors like Ford are doing these movies for having "one last ride" before they pass on; or, if they just don't care anymore and believe the audience will just mentally block out the movies if they tank. Perhaps, fans like me simply project these movies mean more to them than a paycheck. Mark Hamill is a prime example why social media has killed the mystique between fans and the actor behind the action hero. I won't rant about what he did with Skywalker but, good gravy, if you helped send a character you're tied to into the sunset on a positive high note, leave it there. Part of the reason Hollywood is dying is lack of creativity. Making old guys do movies about characters they clearly can't embody anymore does nobody any favors.

Adult Short Round in place of Waller-Bridge in DoD: what a missed opportunity.

Not to be too big of a nerd but it definitely wasn't the summer of 1981 when Lucas and Spielberg came up with the idea for Raiders

I watched Temple of Doom in the cinema when it came out, and that mental opening scene with the Chinese nightclub, the plane, jumping out on the raft, then riding down the mountain is quite possibly the most exhilarating opening scene ever. I was left breathless by the time the opening credits appeared. It's a great film, and I've had to wait decades for everyone else to start realising that.

Fun fact about Dial of Disaster: what we saw in cinema was actually the best thing the studio could offer. There were many rewrites, reshoots and screenings before test audience managed to somehow accept final product.
