  I'd call that plausible, not busted, Transport companies have been in all kinds of trouble for neglecting to maintain or properly repair things.

  This experiment has been accidentally duplicated during the construction of the Czech nuclear power station in Temelin. There was a huge stainless-steel tank (half a million litre, if I remember well) for cooling water to be pressure tested. They filled it water for that purpose and performed the test. It passed with flying colors, and they started to pump the water out - not letting any air in to replace the water. The tank has done exactly what the one in the Mythbusters&apos; movie...

  What makes it even more realistic that something like this would happen, is that since these are primarily just for liquid transport, I doubt the company would care about even a fairly big dent.<br>They&apos;d inspect it to make sure the internal damage wasn&apos;t too severe, check if it was airtight and then just continue transporting fuel or whatever with it, instead of wasting money on an extremely expensive bit of kit for what is effectively cosmetic damage.
