I don't care that the film, 'Zulu,' was not historically accurate. It's a great film, especially the final battle scene when Private Owen (lovely Ivor Emmanuel) encourages the men to sing 'Men of Harlech' while the mighty Zulu warriors surround them. Fabulous!

Ok, first of all they were British Troops, "Norman Holme (1999). The Noble 24th. p. 383." quotes that "Of the 122 soldiers of the 24th Regiment present at the Battle of Rorke's Drift, 49 are known to have been of English nationality, 32 were Welsh, 16 were Irish, one was a Scot, and three were born overseas. The nationalities of the remaining 21 are unknown."

The 24th Regiment of Foot was based in Warwickshire and mainly recruited in Wales hence in the Cardwell reforms it became the South Wales Borderers and those at Rorke&apos;s Drift were only<br>a small part of the 24th in Natal

Truly one of my favorite movies. Zulu shows the incredible battle between the British Soldiers and the Zulu. Such courage and bravery was shown by both sides during the battle for Rorkes Drift. 💪👃✨

The regiment that fought at Rorke’s Drift was depicted in the film Zulu as theSouth Wales Borderers, who didn’t exist until 1881, two years after Rorke’s Drift. The regiment there was the 2nd Warwickshire Regiment of Foot. But I agree that all references to the army should be preceded by the word British.

ABSOLUTELY a great film. &nbsp;I believe that during filming they had to &quot;restrain&quot; the Zulu troops who needed to not be so...realistic.
