  One in this genre I really like is Saturn 3 with Kirk Douglas and Farrah Fawcett and Harvey Keitel. I love when the evil robot rebuilds himself.

  I've seen all of these... mainly because we had Sci Fi channel on cable TV... NOT like today... it was better then. Even seen other great movies Space 1999, Star Wars, The Mummy, Matrix, E.T., Frist Ghostbusters, First Back to the Future, First Blade Runner, First Raiders of the Lost Ark... and many more. The 80's was to me the best Sci Fi's so far...

  Alien set the bar for Sci-Fi Horror.  It carries a lot of inspiration from old horror movies with the creepy atmosphere that the beat up look of the interior of the Nostromo gives you. The fact that we don't get to fully see the H.R. Geiger created nightmare of a monster until the end added to the WTF are we dealing with situation that the crew has. All the glimpses we get of it just ratchets up the suspense.

  The first thing I watched was Alien when I was 6, it was just as scary as Gremlins, but the wolf from The Neverending Story scared me the most.

  I remember Outland. &nbsp; Fighting a drug cartel in outerspace. &nbsp; Showing that Sean Connery is more than just James Bond.<br>Pitch Black is another cool movie where the bad guy becomes the good guy. &nbsp; This movie introduced me to other movies with Vin Diesel.<br>Starship Troupers was the first DVD that I ever purchased. &nbsp; It was also the time that DVD players were first coming out and some players didn&apos;t decode them very well. &nbsp; 😮
