  The contrast between Jacob’s old life of grasping and his final act of clinging to God really touched me. He didn’t prevail because he was stronger than God, but because he refused to let go when his own strength had failed. What a beautiful picture of faith.

Jacob walked away with a limp, but he also received a new name and a new identity. Sometimes God uses difficult encounters to break our dependence on ourselves and teach us to cling to Him more deeply.<br>What feels like a weakness may become a reminder of the God who changed you.<br>God bless us all 🤍🙏🤍

  I also found out jabbok means &quot;emptying&quot; i think its symbolic because jacob emptied himself to fill himself with God. And also is similar to the Good Shepard parable and Paul&apos;s thorn in his side. All point out loss of independence to gain dependability on God. And only thru Jesus can we enter in. Not my our will or deception.

  I wonder, and one can only wonder this, IF twins in the womb have such a connection that they can know one another&apos;s mind and character in their intimacy in the womb and possibly why these two , being so different, wrestled in the womb. Anyhow, something I ponder but shall not know this side of eternity,<br>I can relate to this account in realizing that GOD is my strength in the everyday, the unknown, and in the trials of fire. I was basically educated from the age of ten to be entirely self sufficiant, strong, capable. Then, through MS, RA and FM, multiple autoimmune diseases, I found true power is only in my God and King over me, and so I cling at every turn. Glory to God, for I am very little, needy and weak.
