  The mind is a VERY powerful thing. If you want to believe something, you will believe it with every fiber of your being. People don&apos;t get that. They attribute it to otherworldly forces.

  How to convert people to your religion (pay attention, religious people, this is how you can rescue the nonbelievers): <br>1. Raise them in it when they are very young. Isolate them from other belief systems.<br>= OR = <br>1. Get them romantically involved with someone of your religion.<br>2. They will feel pressure to convert, and often will.<br>= OR = <br><br>1. Introduce turmoil in their lives, have them in an emotional and desperate state, confronted with their mortality, etc.<br>2. Give them some awareness of your system of beliefs, and say that your beliefs can help them.<br>3. In their desperation, on their own, at some point they might say something like &quot;[spiritual force], I don&apos;t believe in you, but if you are real, help me out.&quot;<br>4. There is usually a good chance due to reversion to the mean of an improvement in their circumstances, and confirmation bias will kick in.<br>5. They will come to believe your religion is responsible, and convert.<br><br><br>I&apos;ve never met anyone who was &quot;reasoned into it&quot; by those pamphlets that are passed out and apologetic arguments. Those seem to exist to feed the believer&apos;s confirmation bias and keep them in the belief.

  An Ex-Mormon, Exmo Lex linked people here in a video titled &quot;I Left the Mormon Church - What Do I Believe Now?&quot; Now an atheist she said this video was really helpful in the beginning of her faith transition and that it was shocking to her that these testimonies from all around the world sounded so much like her Mormon testimony, which was a surprise to her since her church taught her that nobody in other religions felt like Mormons do, but this video showed that not to be necessarily true. &nbsp;As &nbsp;a robust life-long atheist myself, I am consistently fascinated at this very human phenomenon of religiosity people develop within their brains. Thanx for the video.
