I’m old enough to remember when the H&C was the Metropolitan Line. And to this day, I still refer to Hammersmith station as Hammersmith Met line station.

Bravo! Wonderful video. I am astounded at the clean conditions on the Underground stations and trains, as the ones on the New York City subway (Underground) system, with which I am familiar, are like a sewer. The rats in the tunnels are big enough to throw a saddle on.

Wonderful to see all those flat junctions, and think of the miracle it takes to get a train in each direction over each of them every two and a half minutes - every other one using the diamond crossing! Considering that when the 'widened lines' (now Thameslink) was built, they made an underpass, it's a bit surprising that in all the years since the Metropolitan Railway was first built, no one has managed to make a single one of those junctions grade-separated ... bean-counters in action (see Leeds tramway).
