  I "drive" this route regularly on Train Sim, so it is wonderful to have a guided tour, with all the background and information about the stations.  Thankyou.

  You can almost always spot the Tourists in videos like these.<br>Most of them, despite having a Travelcard or Oystercard, will wait at a station for the one specific train to get them to their destination, rather than hop on the first one going in that direction, even if it&apos;s a destination that ALL trains on that line go to.<br>For example, for a journey into London from Amersham, it&apos;s a LOT quicker to hop on a Chiltern Line train down to Harrow-on-the-Hill and continue from there on the tube, than to take the Metropolitan line all the way, which stops at most of the stations in between.<br>Years of practice, guys 😉😉

  For me this is one of the most iconic train lines in the whole city. I just love how each area it serves is completely different to the last, and you see every single London demographic on board

  I used to work on freight trains over the North London line from South Acton when I was an 18 year old driver&apos;s assistant, later to become a driver in the late 1970&apos;s &amp; early 1980&apos;s. The amount of change, particularly in the Stratford area is absolutely staggering... I also used to work to Willesden via Kensinton Olympia, and Gospel Oak to Barking Ripple Lane... There was a lot of semaphore signalling when I was there &amp; the train service from Richmond to Broad Street was still in operation with the 3rd rail all the way to Broad St... Now happily retired for 6 years age 65...

  A great watch. &nbsp;Worth the hard work in editing and production. &nbsp; Astoninshing the links between the Great Western Mainline and the West Coast Mainline Via Acton Wells signal box isn&apos;t electrified for stock moves and inter-regional electric freight.

  Such a well made film, more than simply a driver&apos;s eye view, good shots of station life along the line. Really gives the feel of making the journey. Many thanks, it must have taken many hours to get all these shots.
