I had to laugh back in the day because after i played these games i went to explore Italy after a dig. And i was actually able to navigate the cities of Florence and Rome from memory. I knew my way from Vatican City to the Colloseum, and going through the streets of Florence to the Duomo, the execution site, and the bridge across the Arno Ezio fought on.

For a character introduced in a sequel to top the popularity of the original main character is a rare thing in games, but damn, Ezio pulled it off :)

 15:47
Bayek didn't lose his finger as a limitation. He lost it because he was being strangled and couldn't open his left hand to stab the man who was strangling him. So when he activated the blade he lost his finger as a result. And he didn't even mean for it to become a tradition, he lost it through an accident then more Hidden Ones started doing it as a sign of respect for him.

Iirc, Bayek actually didnt require new members to cut off their finger, and tried to get them to not do that, but they did to anyways to show their commitment

The older I get the more I realize the only thing that will match that uniqueness that the Ezio trilogy gives me, will only be matched or surpassed by a remake of that trilogy, it's so so good and special.

1:17:24 I love how they also implemented the effects of Ezio's rallying speech into the gameplay as younstorm the arsenal.
For this mission, you get infinite assassin signals, the equivalent of the game saying "EVERYONE is here to help."

We were in Florence last year, staying near to the Duomo, and this game meant I didn't have to open maps once - with my gf constantly telling me a game couldn't have helped this much. I'm so happy to see others saying the same here

I'm taking my gf to Venice in August, and expecting the same 😂

1:21:44 Al Mualim said back in the first game, quoting Eccelesiastes 1:17: “For in much wisdom is much grief, and he that increaseth knowledge, increaseth sorrow.”
