Guarantee this is why they are pushing that $3 year warranty on their games.  They are trying to make up for their own employees taking in absolute trashed games when they shouldn't have been.

Whoever package 📦 those scratches up games and sent them to you needs to meet you in the nearest GameStop parking lot to settle that.

Gamestop will charge pricecharting CIB prices and send you a loose cart/disc. They're scum (I bet they resell them)

Ain't no way GameStop can afford a dang disc resurfacing machine.

It's a real gamble with online ordering.  Many of the titles rarely pop up as available and when you finally get a few they show up incomplete trash!  Sometimes you might get sealed NEW games as used though or cartridge games in the case which is incredibly rare, but does happen.  You can keep the case/manual and return the disc in a sleeve with the sticker on it and re-order a replacement for any that are scratched, but chances are the next one might be just as bad.  Sometimes you actually get decent stuff though for the price, but having to constantly return stuff just for another chance at getting a good one is not the way gamestop should be operating. They have resurfacing machines and apparently do not care to use them.  The defective stuff and traded in games that they charge people "refurbishing" fees for never get refurbished and just resold until someone is stuck with them because they didn't return them in time.  It has been this way for years now.

When it comes to retro I use eBay ironically considering they are trying to buy them failed by the way but still ironic but eBay has photos so I know the condition before making the purchase something GameStop doesn't do 🤷
