  Knowing that That Chris Hansen&apos;s post Dateline career is mostly about going after 2010s Emo and Scene figures. Makes having him be played by Edward from Twilight in his biopic really funny.

  I believe it was Lindsay Ellis who said there is a reason the show is called “To Catch a Predator” and not “To Save a Child”. Much like with the anti-abortion movement, it’s never actually about the children, but rather the humiliation and control of the adults involved.

  I feel like I can never forgive that man for what he did with his horrendous involvement in the Onision case. He gave the victims hope for justice, only to retraumatize them all (and frankly, any girl who grew up in the same internet era and hoped for collective catharsis, in the middle of the pandemic no less if my memory is correct) for no reason but his own personal sense of relevancy. Ghoulish behavior.<br><br>EDIT: vaguely reorganized the sentence because I realized I wrote it very sleep-deprived and it made no sense 😅

  A local pred catcher to me has allegations of his own. He was all abt &apos;protecting kids&apos; but sexually harassed pregnant women and ended up w entrapment charges bc he did a lot of the shit chris does

  I think that the focus of predator hunting content on predators who target children who they don&apos;t know, a natural consequence of the chosen format, obscures the reality that most predators are victimizing those they already know and have easy access to.

  Robert Pattinson is so creepy in this. I started to figure out Chris was a bad guy when he mishandled the evidence in the onision case and couldn’t handle giving them any dignity then I learned how they rushed to that authority’s house
