  The fact that both Sarah and Jazza have both tested every single marker and both times Ohuhu has come out on top, just reinforces how great of a marker/brand they are, and confirms I made a good investment!

  THANK YOU. THANK YOU FOR MENTIONING THE COPIC SKETCH CAPS. <br>It is genuinely infuriating how big of an issue this is. I have tried literally dozens of different sealants and ways to try to fix the cracked caps but absolutely nothing has worked. They&apos;re either reactivated by the alcohol fumes, they refuse to seal to the non-stick surface of the specific plastic they use, or - even if an air-tight seal is formed - the alcohol will seep through over time (similar to air leaving a balloon over a few days). When I finally thought I&apos;d found a way to seal it (wax, since it&apos;s used to seal bottles of wine) I found that it prevented the marker from drying out, but it caused weird growths on the nibs of both sides. <br>My next (and probably final) attempt will be seeing if I can fill the inner-cap (by taking off the colour-code) with UV-acrylic and see if that works. In the meantime I have a friend with a 3D printer who has offered to print me more caps - which seemed like an ideal solution - except that he can&apos;t find a print file for the caps anywhere. He can find the Classic caps and the Ciao caps, but every database has been wiped of the Sketch caps. It&apos;s not even that they&apos;re behind a pay wall: they&apos;re just not there. <br>At this point I have basically the whole Sketch collection (only missing one) but I&apos;ve had to replace probably 40 markers over the years due to cracked caps and still have at least a dozen more with cracked caps that it&apos;s only a matter of time. I&apos;m extremely careful with my markers. It&apos;s not user error: it&apos;s absolutely a design flaw that they&apos;re trying to push off onto the users (their FAQs, last time I checked, blatantly asked &quot;are you sure you didn&apos;t drop them or sit on them?&quot;).<br>I&apos;m sorry to focus on this one thing when you just dedicated so much time and money to such a large video, but the Copic Sketch caps genuinely infuriate me, so thank you so much for calling attention to it. <br>(And to be clear, of my 700ish Ohuhu, NONE of them have had the same problem.)

  This is an old video but I need to defend my favorite brand, Chartpak AD is not for art in general, they are for architecture drawing and pretty much only work well on tracing papper or similar coated surfaces. Also very important as they are solvent based they dont smudge ink, very important in architecture work. Basically, is a very specific tool for a specific job and is wildly out of place here.

  Women and women&apos;s crafts are generally not taken as seriously or seen to be as difficult/ intensive as men&apos;s hobbies. Or at least, in terms of entertainment as a content creator. This video rivals all the big Youtbue video essays in terms of investigative work and giving 1000% effort to something just for fun. It&apos;s beautiful. And again, your humor and the editing rival popular male video essayists making millions of views. The Always Sunny bit had me in stitches! <br><br>You are a very good content creator as well as artist! I don&apos;t know if that&apos;s your main job, I just got here, but you&apos;re good at it : )

  the pepe silvia bit 😭 absolutely had the same breakdown about how marker brands name their colours and how they manufacture their caps..... insane amount of work you&apos;re putting in these videos, kudos!!!

  Acrylic painter here - I used a lightfast clear coat on my marker swatches and I used clear tape to adhere them to the side of my markers. Did it take a wildly long time? YES. Was it worth it? Also yes. Don’t have to carry swatch cards!

  i worked all throughout high school to build up my copic sketch collection, and now ive found a lot of my markers dried up irreparably even when i refilled them and never figured out why. heartbroken. now i know, and ive got a more affordable replacement for one of my favorite mediums. thank you for doing this incredible research and ensuring i can put my money towards a product with confidence, when the word of mouth i trusted for copics turned out to be misleading.
