Love that you embraced the cozy coloring. I feel like tons of artist have rolled their eyes at it and considered it not real because the pages are more simple. Thank you for highlighting what makes cozy coloring so fun!

Dear people. Please have fun and relex when coloring. It's not about getting the perfect trends or perfect colloring. Be kind to yourself and enjoy 🥰

the 'glitch' effect is part of a really cool effect called chromatic aberration that happens from failed lens focusing.

17:04 for everyone else wondering what this insanely cool colouring book is, I found it after some effort. It’s called “Cozy Adventures” by WonderFlat

It seems the meaning of lo-fi has changed quite a bit through it's usage on social media throughout the years. I imagine the aesthetic it's being used to represent in the video has something to do with the popularity of both the music channel "Lofi girl", and the Ghibli-esque anime aesthetic with clean colours and lines it is renown for, as well as the popular representation of 80s aesthetic, and era with abundant lo-fi media, being hypersaturated contrasting blue, purple, and orange gradients. In reality, lo-fi is quite the opposite; it's a shortening of the term low fidelity, with fidelity being a term used in electronics (primarily music, video, and photography) to denote how accurately the a digital representation is able to record it's analog equivalent, or the quality in which a device is able to replicate the original data. For example, AM radio and VCR are two methods of sound and video reproduction that are considered lo-fi; with the plentiful artefacts and distortions being markedly different from the clean lines of the trend here that's been labelled 'lo-fi'. It's interesting how language seems to be getting 'faster', with the transformation of terms taking just a few short years, or even mere months, as opposed to decades to centuries as was the case in human history.

tbh I love seeing you use art supplies instead of endlessly testing and swatching them! 😇

ngl the dopamine method reminds me of the art pieces you could buy and were popular in like the mid 80's and early 90's, especially the one with the plant!
