Have you thought about doing a video we can play for our non-adhd family and friends explaining some of this - why we interrupt, how we can get impatient with long stories, etc?

One thing I have learned to do to reduce how often I interrupt others - particularly with work - I always have a notepad so when I response pops in my head, I jot a note down to remind me when I get a chance to talk and then it isn’t spinning in my head while they are still talking. &nbsp;<br><br>Others probably don’t realize that I’m not interrupting as often…I still interrupt at times because I get too charged…so to them, it’s still an interruption 😃. &nbsp;Love the suggestion to give a disclaimer when I do.

I just found your channel and its really helping my mental health to hear someone talk about things ive spent decades feeling like a failure for without judgement and pure self-kindness. It&apos;s so wonderful and helpful.

ADHD takes a huge toll on interpersonal relationships and causes a lot of failed relationships. Creating a coping mechanism that further strains those relationships is not a good strategy! The interrupting is very rude regardless of your condition, because it assumes your stream of consciousness is more important than the other person being heard. It is unacceptable in a professional setting, so why would our closest people be even less important? I strive to either write it down, or accept that my brain will loop back to that thought again. If anything, I remember things dozens of times, just never at the opportune time. When my partner is talking, their brain is unlikely to loop back needlessly the way mine does, so I try very hard to show them relationship skills.

This style of video is great; maybe do more analysis of the best advice. It’s like watching Match of The Day - ie a summary of all the best goals, ie adhd advice, on the internet that day. Plus, it’s double the benefit ie debunks the myths as well affirms the good ideas. Because I think pointing out the sh!t ideas is just as important IMHO 😂 It simplified what we do and dont need to do (which in essence is the whole key to dealing with ADHD sometimes… simplify, shorten, smile)

This was so useful thank you so much!<br><br>I used to be sure that I didn&apos;t have ADHD because of a video i saw that said &quot;if you dont experience this you dont have ADHD&quot;.<br><br>I&apos;m now looking into getting a diagnosis :)<br><br>If anyone here is questionning i recommend looking up your symptoms online and read from trustable resources, if you have someone you know that is neurodivergent definitely talk to them about it.<br><br>When looking at vidéos on social media you should check their credentials and try to take it with a grain of salt<br><br>(Feel free to correct anything or add to it)

I never thought I had ADHD until I found out my mom has it she has been misdiagnosed for many years, and that it&apos;s genetic and I took a test and scored very high. <br>Watching this makes me realise all my adaptations till now in order to function properly. I am messy but very organised, I try to have as little items as possible and they all have a forever place. I use them, put them back, except from clothes that are gathered on a chair till the weekend and an extra desk where I throw everything I get to use during the week, from colouring crayons to hammers (i like diy) to duct tapes to pieces of lichens 😅. And then there&apos;s the phone. it&apos;s the only object that does not have a place on it&apos;s own and I loose it multiple times a day. When I lived with my ex I used to ask him where I&apos;ve put my phone :<br>it&apos;s under the table in the living room, on top of the shower cabin etc etc 🤣<br>I also only function with notes and stucky notes and note apps and Google calendar
