Nimitz made the right call. Those officers learned from their mistakes. New officers brought in would not have been as intense in their disciplines as the officers they replaced. Guilt from the mistakes made the officers involved more dedicated to insuring they didn't repeat them. Again....Nimitz...you made the right call..!

Someone needs to review these godamm AI photos. 5 stars on Nimitz shoulder board but 3 on his collar? Plus Nimitz didn't get his fifth star until the last few months of the war. AAAARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH
