  When John was drinking, he could be difficult to say the least. &nbsp;However, imagine what it&apos;s like to work with his wife, Yoko. &nbsp; I remember an interview with a session musician who worked with her on one of her albums. &nbsp;He described it like this: &nbsp; &quot;Yoko walks into the studio and just sits down crosslegged not saying a thing. &nbsp;She doesn&apos;t give us any directions so we just look at each other, shrug and start jamming. &nbsp;Once in a while she start wailing along with us, or says play something faster or slower. &nbsp;That&apos;s all we do for a week or so then we pack up and leave. &nbsp;Later on her record comes out and we listen to it and realize our jams have been turned into songs, with her lyrics and voice overlaid but it all went on behind the scenes after we left. &nbsp; We looked at the credits and it had Yoko as writers, producer and arranger for all music. &nbsp;All we could do was laugh because we knew she had written none of the music. &nbsp;We never got paid or credited for writing anything, just paid for our time.

  His guitar solos with Steely Dan are some of the best guitar work ever recorded.

  Wow, what a gentleman. He&apos;s holding back, even now. I doubt anyone in their right mind would cancel an opportunity to work with Lennon, unless it had been a really bad experience.

  Back in the 80s I heard Carlton tell a story about being invited to Barbra Streisand&apos;s house because she was interested in having him work on some music for her. He arrived on time and was asked by someone who worked for her to wait because she was busy upstairs on the phone. I remember him saying he waited an excessively long time, like a couple of hours. Eventually, he told the person he&apos;d been dealing with that he didn&apos;t like that Streisand was wasting so much of his time and left and never heard from her about it again.

  I&apos;ve always been a massive Beatles fan but John was the first instance in which I realized, you can admire somebody&apos;s art but not necessarily like the person, not to speak ill of the departed but I was so excited when I started learning English well enough to understand his interviews but then I realized quickly he talked a lot of shit.
