1. I was employed as an administrative employee in various departments of a clinic for 23 years.

2. Patients were insulted and ridiculed and called malicious names behind closed doors by doctors and nursing staff.

3. I know that medical records have even been falsified after treatment errors were discovered.

4. I am also aware that staff (doctors, nursing staff and administration) were threatened and blackmailed into dismissal.

5. But never have I experienced ALL departments being so biased, unfriendly, abusive and lying!

6. A patient was never locked up for 3.5 months, monitored by camera, taken photos, or looked at genitals, even though the illness had nothing to do with the intimate area!

7. I hope with all my heart that the jury brings justice and FINALLY peace to Maya and her family! 🙏🙏🙏🇩🇪

It makes my heart so happy to hear how excited you were for Ms. Lawrence. I was playing a video game and paused it to just smile at the genuine happiness you had for her. Rob you are such a good human.

As someone with experience in the field, the psychologist’s testimony deeply bothered me. Just a few things that I noticed and/or my personal speculations.

1. If a child makes a CA/SA allegation, you have a duty to report it — end of story. If the child is vague, you do not make assumptions that “previously” meant somewhere else (would still need to report - so it’s a strange excuse from her), and you do not assume the conduct must have been an appropriate medical exam. You get more details, and you report. I feel she did not want more details and didn’t ask so that she wouldn’t have to report her employer and deal with the fallout of that. It’s so wrong.

2. She openly states she didn’t make any effort to schedule appts and states she was busy with an outpatient schedule and would have to find time to leave work to see Maya. I theorize that sometimes she would go knowing or hoping Maya was unavailable so she could note that she tried and go back to her other work. The duration of her appts also lends credibility to that (20-35 mins) which is too short to do much of anything besides surface-level questioning. I’d be curious to actually see if they billed for an hour on those — seems inappropriate to have various tiny sessions to me.

3. A change in baseline behavior is not altered mental status, and her complete misuse and misunderstanding of that phrase drove me up the wall.

Thank you for including the moments of joy in the trial. The look of pure pride on your face at the start with Ms Lawrence was heart warming.

The most disturbing part of this trial is the lack of compassion towards a 10 year old girl. She is in hospital, poorly and has had her mum taken away overnight. I can only imagine that if she said the wrong thing she would fear her dad would be taken away too. She may have been mature for her age but she was still a child and the staff of the hospital, apart from maybe 2 that I have seen testify are cold and lacking in empathy or compassion. Quite disturbing really.

Putting aside any and all of her evasiveness, the simple fact that she as a mandated reporter did not report is repugnant.
