Just going to say: I was allowed access to a BBC Micro in the basement of my College in about 1983. I had no idea what I was doing. I remember drawing graphs and changing the colour of said graphs. It seemed like magic at the time. After graduation, a lifetime of training people to use databases, and being a database administrator myself, ensued. None of it would have happened without the BBC Micro (or a generous college). It annoys me more than I can say to mention "40+ years ago". I feel like a dinosaur!! After my shared BBC Micro experience, it was an Amstad 6128, then Amstrad's PC, then a Cyrix PC and so on. We have come so far. I feel I've taken every step!

Watching this made me very nostalgic for the many fruitful years of teaching, using the Beeb and its many variants throug to the archimedes and on. Such a strong workhorse for thousands of inquisitive children and staff. Great job!

The Beeb was actually "future proofed" against people from the 21st cetury moaning about the plastic yellowing. By making it that colour in the first place. :)

Nice surprise to see you back at it Dave. Just got a cpc 464 for my birthday, in hot heels of my Amiga 500 last year so was reminiscing and found this nugget.
