I watched a few of your videos today and really enjoyed it. You are so lucky to have seen a soenie near Skukuza, then a pangolin, and a cheetah in this episode. I imagine it is difficult to bird with one pair of eyes. Hopefully, we will be birding around Skukuza at the end of October. Safe travels. 🪶🪶

I have just returned to UK from 3 weeks in the Kruger. We managed to reach Punda Maria, but no further north. The vegetation was still lush and green making birding difficult. I largely missed out on the "northern" specials, but still had a great time. Surprisingly I did not see many waterbirds, especially with it being so wet. All the dams were full, and river banks were like cliffs so I guess the wading birds and Herons are struggling to find mud or margin to fish from. Let alone what happen to the fish. All credit to the SAN parks staff for getting so much of the park accessible again.
