David that hive with “swarm cells” may have been thinking of superseating the package queen, which often is very common.

ciao io consiglio di non usare il fumo sul melario se fai il test in laboratorio del miele poi ci sono tracce di combustione non è il massimo.

My six frame nuc(they arenow in a 10 frame, 2 box stack too now) looked exactly like that last weekend. I was going to check them this weekend but it's raining...hopefully tomorrow I can see if I can make a nuc from them...I love the queen in there.

I understand not wanting to split this time of year but... Assuming they keep building swarm cells, what if you split the colony to keep it from swarming now and combine them back together after the honey flow. Would be a shame to kill a good queen but better than losing a swarm?

I found brood of all stages in my honey supers. I have a queen excluder on and there is also brood in the brood boxes. Is it possible that the queen is going through the queen excluder or is it more likely that I have two queens in one hive?
