Thai "Golf Girl" Scandal - Female Believer Uses 86,000 Photos & Videos to Blackmail Monks | New Mysterious Case ► An episode in Khanh Ha's "Mysterious Cases" series, this episode is about a Thai case. In July 2025, Thailand was shaken when Wilawan Emsawat – a woman nicknamed "Golf Girl" – was arrested for blackmailing and manipulating a number of high-ranking monks. Over three years, she secretly filmed explicit videos with at least nine monks, using them as blackmail weapons to extort a total of 385 million baht (nearly 300 billion VND), forcing 10 monks to disrobe and many others to face criminal prosecution. During a search of "Golf Girl's" home, police seized over 5,600 explicit videos and 80,000 images, exposing a sophisticated network of exploitation disguised as a devout Buddhist follower. From a devout "sika," Wilawan transformed numerous large temples across Thailand into stages for a power struggle – with monks becoming prey one after another. The scandal led the King of Thailand to revoke 81 ecclesiastical titles, and the government pledged to tighten financial control over temples. This is the most shocking case of extortion and religious manipulation in modern Thai Buddhism. ► All videos on Khanh Ha's Case Stories are researched and compiled from various sources.
