  The unemployment rate in Charlotte is 3.7%. Below the national average of 4.1%, and far below the historical national average of 5.7%. People ARE willing to work, businesses just arent willing to pay them the wages that they require for that work.

  Funny thing is my son is 16, has applied for jobs in all aspects of work from fast food to landscaping and every thing. Good kid, great student and no one will hire him. There are young people wanting to work but can&apos;t get hired.

  The most expensive neighborhood in NC is and always has been Biltmore Forest in Asheville. &nbsp;They are so exclusive, they are a municipality within a larger city with their own public works, police, fire etc. &nbsp;Puts anything Charlotte or anywhere else in NC to shame.

  The guy with the marching band, this is what the minority and the non minority kids need, adult mentors that can teach them about life, give them something to do that they can be proud of and meet other young people from differing communities and learn to like each other and over come the negativity that so many of young people are immersed in and don&apos;t know how to get out of.
