  This is one of the very few songs from any band that I prefer the live version, because the energy and feel is off the charts.

  I actually think D.M are one of the most underrated bands ever. I have seen hundreds of live gigs and for the life of me can’t figure why I have not seen them.

  It's not about the instrumentals; it's about the perfectly written lyrics. Think about it: If you just read these lyrics without music, wouldn't they be just as beautiful? Perfection.

  In my opinion, this live version of “Enjoy the Silence,” from “Touring the Angel: Live in Milan,” ranks right up there with “World Violation,” “Tour of the Universe,” and my personal favorite live version, the one from “Devotional,” as the best live versions I’ve watched of the song. Then again, though, pretty much every live version I’ve seen of this song has hit me deep, not just the song itself. Truly freaking beautiful.

  I used to hear this song on the radio, in casual passing.  This song sticks in the head, especially that beautiful lead guitar cord.  Depeche Mode just simplistic and awesome at the same time.

  In my opinion, this is the best live version with the crowd singing the chorus. The best Dave's live version is Cologne 1998. Anyway, Dave is the best frontman ever
