The bidet is an important piece of personal hygiene equipment for cleaning the intimate areas after defecating. Toilet paper alone isn't enough to get truly clean. It's preferable to use soap and water, just like when you wash your hands. It's a piece of equipment of French origin and is used in most Spanish homes. My grandparents and parents had bidets, and I have one at home too.

That thing near the toilet is, in fact, a bidet. You’ll notice the towel behind it, that’s to dry off with. Have never personally used one, but am intrigued

I’m thinking the things that looked like stones were probably actually bones. A lot of churches may display bones from Saints as relics!!
