Baroque has a distinctive sound that can't be beat! The greatest classical style of them all.

It is now 09.08 and I have just returned home from taking my 7 year old little boy to school. I am on my settee listening to this wonderful music and being transported to a different place and a different time....

I adore the music of both Scarlattis, father and son Domenico.

@HappyPainting-jnb The style used by "Bach, Handel, Telemann", Ristori,...,Vivaldi, was created by A. Scacraltti. His contemporaries knew this very well, so they wrote on his grave: (latino) "Heic situs est | eques Alexander Scarlatus | vir moderatione beneficentia | pietate insignis | musices instaurator maximus" (Here lies the knight Alexander Scarlatti, a man distinguished for his balance, generosity and goodness, the greatest innovator of music)!

People, this music is not by Domenico Scarlatti (born in 1685), who wrote those hundreds of harpsichord sonatas, but his father Alessandro (born in 1660). Notice, please, the different first names, and the fact that this music is in quite a different style than that of Bach, Handel, Telemann, etc.
