Also as people are asking, here's some (affiliate) links to the programmer I'm using. The Green PCB version linked has the voltage selector switch, so you don't need to mess around with level shifters, just set 3.3v or 1.8v on the programmer. The socket adaptor is optional, but certainly speeds things up for older boards with SOP8 chips. Newer boards use WSON8, which generally needs to bb soldered to a breakout board.
I've got a video in the works that talks more about this.
CH341a with WSON / SOP8 adaptors - https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_omKkqvL
200mm SOP8 socket - https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_oCXYPe1

This was a fantastic video watch until the end even if experienced!! Everything you did up until the bios chip removal I have done in the past and was very familiar with. I was also familiar with BIOS chip programmers (I even bought one years ago) but I initially was unsure how to do it and then just put it off and forgot. Your easy de-solder, programming and replacement/resolder was a fantastic eye opener for an experienced system builder at how easy it is. I am so excited now because I have multiple non-posting motherboards that I can test!! A great lesson in sticking to a video even if you think you know everything!! Thank you!!!

I really like the way you explain things, calmly, succinctly and in language we can understand. You tell us not just what you are doing but why you are doing it, and that really helps the layman understand. Far to many producers of tech content like to blind you with jargon, I think they feel it makes them look clever.

Gigabyte does it again with their amazing backup bios feature! Even with a corrupt main BIOS, it just doesn't wanna switch to that backup still! Gotta love it! I wish all of those boards had the switch. There's no need to NOT have that switch on the board to have manual control. I'm grateful they include QFlash PLUS on all of their boards now these days; I think they've ditched dual BIOS now. I don't ever see anymore Gigabyte boards with dual, unless i'm wrong about that. But yeah, I never see anybody able to trigger backup bios. Kinda sucks

Also Graham another comment here points something quite interesting out. They posted a link to another video pointing out some comments on that one about backup BIOS on gigabyte boards. The comment under that video says: "Turn off power supply. Hold down the on button. Turn on power supply then after 2-3 seconds of the computer being on, turn off the power supply again. Then release the on button. Then turn the power supply back on. Now press the on button. This will reset your bios and it will overwrite the corrupt bios with the backup bios. You will see a loading screen as it overwrites the corrupt bios." ...Then there's a bunch of replies to those few comments mentioning this method about how it worked. I'm skeptical about it since it's impossible to even switch to the backup bios in general; but I just sit here wondering if that would've actually worked lol. I've never heard of this, ever hehehe. Do you think it wouldve worked, knowing our bad luck in the past with triggering backup bios to begin with?

I mostly like the way you explain, thanks
Your explanations matter alot then the practical bit backs it up . I mean to say you are the best.

I really like that you share your thought process with your audience. Keep 'em coming! BTW I have never seen another techtuber remove and re-flash a BIOS.
