Very fair, and some great footage. The atmosphere in Australia at the time was indeed poisonous against Kramer, but he had the last laugh.

There was a book published around the mid 1980s called Tennis The Greats and it is a word for word transcript of Adrian Quist's words here, all this excellent footage is from Adrian's personal video collection so it's errie and cool hearing it all here, all these years later. Adrian was a great player himself and terrific servant to the game, a Wimbledon doubles champ after the war and a multiple Aussie Open Doubles champ as well so he knew the game inside out and clearly loved it. As a side note Adrian said Donald Budge in his opinion was the greatest player he ever saw with Don's backhand the greatest shot ever in the game. He rated Jack Krammer highly too saying Jack was maybe the second greatest player ever to play.

The standard of these players is just as good as today i think, especially if the players in this video had the racket/string technology and other improvements like court conditions etc of todays players.

Imagine a time machine and having all players using the same technology and all at their peak. So many combinations of matches would be interesting to watcheg Laver and Federer just as one example. Borg did player Laver but Laver was past his peak but to see both at their peak would be amazing. Then Borg and Nadal on clay would be a ripper.
I guess would we want to see the modern rackets and strings used or the old wooden and cat gut strings?? I think the modern rackets would see alot less volleying compared to the wooden racket era.
