  Giving her gold meant he was serious. That she wore his gift was almost like accepting an engagement ring. Cute the way she showed him it was around her neck 😂

  I always find it hilarious that Vitelli was happily joining in on there locker room talk about some of the women, then all of a sudden he realised they were talking about his own daughter and his face just drops😂

  The little slip at <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TERvoFSUGKk&amp;t=370">6:10</a> was cute...and deliberate. <br>In the novel, physical contact of any kind before marriage would have been considered inappropriate, so Apollonia, who is as sure-footed as a mountain goat in the rough terrain, pretends to lose her footing allowing Michael to hold her. The older ladies following the couple, witness this and share an all-knowing smile.

  When my father met my mother, my mom told him she could not date at the time because her dad didn&apos;t allow.<br>My father asked where she lived. And the day after, he went to talk to his father.<br>He presented himself as a serious man, asked for his approval, and my grandad consented.<br>A few years ago I went back to Italy to celebrate their 50th anniversary.<br><br>I linked in my mind this scene with how my father met my mother.
