I love comedians who don’t feel the need to be constantly funny because they end up trying so hard that it’s just embarrassing. Mulaney is such a great storyteller, almost effortlessly funny. But his premeditated creations are the absolute best.

He seems like he legitimately cares about Pete Davidson. I think Pete gets a lot of garbage from people because he see’s life differently. And it seems like he genuinely cares if Pete gets his drug use under control and wants a genuinely good life for him and you don’t find out in a lot of friends these days

I feel John mulaney hanging with pete Davidson is like a middle aged dad trying to bond with his teenage son. Taking him to concerts he has no idea about like “son, this is a very famous song” “okay dad”
