After I watched this video, I went back and painted the door and fender together. The fender just seemed a touch lighter. Honestly sometimes everything on the car is the best way for color match 😊

I am an engine, driveline, chassis guy.......I don't know or do body & paint.  But know that I deeply appreciate the folks that do!  Thanks Brian and your camera person for a great video.  I watched the whole thing.

That colorless base coat also will highlight any burn throughs. Was always a issue at shop I worked at, had preppers that just prepped for painters. You would go in the booth to paint and get all kinds of surprises.

Awesome job! Thanx for showing the fastest way to paint. I probably never use it because Im a DIY kind of person but its great to know that things like that exist and how to use them the correct way. Thanx!!!

There are some other good UV light options but they are all on the expensive side. Scangrip has a good line of UV products, including UV Gun

Glad to hear you're feeling a little better. I just started watching your videos a few weeks ago, love the content and your approach. I just bought a Jetta to commute in and plan on giving it a paint job, it has a few panels from a donor car that I need to match to the rest of the car.

When you spray that UV you need to use a small spray tip like a 1.0 to get the primer fine enough to fall down into your sand scratches. Also some of the UV primers can go over 320 but some of them require 220. You really gotta follow the TDS on the UV if you want to avoid any issues! So double check you are using it properly before you throw it down on a bunch of jobs that may come back in 6 months bc this stuff doesn’t always fail right away. I know from experience lol.
