I literally have never seen footage of this game in motion until this video despite knowing about it since release

I wanna say FFXVI reused a lot of themes from this game, specifically the idea of crystal bearers being an underclass that must use magic against their will

I've always loved the way these semi-realistic games looked on the Wii. Stuff like Xenoblade, Monster Hunter Tri, etc, they all have such a distinct visual style.

This game made me quite happy as a teen, and even now I still know: my life wont ever be complete until i get a real-world copy of Layle's cool jacket

The world needs more coverage of Crystal Bearers. I absolutely adore this game despite the odd and often times frustrating gameplay loop. Still hoping that Squeenix does something with this property someday. Either remaking this or creating some kind of sequel or just a straight up new Crystal Chronicles game

Excellent video covering what I feel is a super under appreciated game! As a kid I played through this several times and really enjoyed it as an overall experience. It isn't the best game, but it tried a lot of unique things and I think didn't get the attention it deserved! Thank you for giving it a bit of a spotlight!

At 18:18 I mistyped "write" as "right" and didn't notice until I was watching it right before pushing it public. I would like everyone to please bully and insult me an insane amount so that i never do anything this heinous again.

The summoning cutscene is also one of the best scenes in Final Fantasy, if you're a nerd who puts tier lists together put that in at least A tier.

44:05 I guess the wind must be very strong at that altitude...

I'm glad people are looking back on this game nowadays, I remember being like, the only person that recognized Layle when he got added to OO. I have some issues with this game, mainly it's lenght and lack of a party, but I really appreciated what it was trying to do and the unique identity it forged for itself!
