Adult german here - some playgrounds are intended for the grown ups to get in there themselfs. and yes, you can have fun on a childrens playground as adult.

German here. When my daughter was about 3 years old (20 years ago) she asked a bigger boy (5-6), who was on top of a small wall, to help her up. He responded "I'll help you up, when you can get up here alone". That wasn't unfriendly, that was responsible. And she understood

Nobody gets sued when the kid breaks an arm and there's no medical bill for fixing the kid up.

Afraid of playgrounds but there are literally everywhere guns in your country and that is perfectly safe? 😂

My dad always encouraged me to climb higher (till mom stoped him), but he also always stood underneath me to catch me.

The three of us brothers were once at a playground with one brother's family, on a climbing frame, when my sister-in-law shouted to her son: "Higher, your uncles have almost caught up with you!" (The damn thing was over four meters high.)

9:03 That's also why when German parents say no, that means no. It's not punishment, but proper care!

German mom here.
I let my kids go to the playground on their own, too (okay, there are 3-4 playgrounds within 10 minutes of walking distance). I know they will come home if something happens - like when my son broke his arm when he fell from a tree (not the actual playground equipment!). I took him to the doctor, he ran around with a cast for 3 weeks, and will still climb up any tree he sees...
On the other hand, my mom was a pediatric nurse and told me when I was pregnant with my first child: "Don't be scared. If all parts of a child are in one room, it will heal." Children are resilient.

And you're right - if you outright prohibit things, kids will still try them out. So, if I don't want my kids to do stuff, I'll explain to them why. And I often don't just prohibit stuff. "When you're 16, you may drink. I'll even get you your first crate of beer for your birthday. But see that you get drunk the first time with responsible people around." - "I won't prohibit you to start smoking. I just ask you to remember how crappy granny died before you accept your first cigarette. It took her ONE to get addicted, and she died the ugly way over several years. So - is "cool" cool enough to risk your life?"

I'm almost 44 years old. Everytime my friends and I get drunk on a festival or something we always end up on a playground...😂
On the swings or monkeybars or whatever.😂😂😂

You don’t need to worry about the play equipment. There are local and national building regulations governing playgrounds and play equipment. These must be inspected regularly by council staff or external inspectors. There are so many regulations, covering everything from the size of the rungs on ladders and the height of the railings to the materials used in the individual pieces of equipment.
I know from my own childhood that we had a large climbing frame, like a little castle, with a slide and a climbing bridge right in the middle of a sandpit. We always climbed right up to the highest point and jumped down into the sand from there. 4 metre.

It's not bars, it's more like a cafe or restaurant near the playground and at this place, even if you could drink alcohol, like if it is a beer garden f. e., that doesn't mean you have to drink alcohol there, but just a coffee, Apfelschorle or just water.
