  You know, if we completely ignore the alcohol-giving accusations, the Todd episode was still wrong. Todd could&apos;ve DIED on the show, and he was not immediately taken to the hospital after using the breathalyzer. Regardless of how Todd got that alcohol, Dr. Phil was SO close to having a body count on his show.

  He tells people to cut off contact with their abusers, then when he put a girl on his show with her abusive mother, he acted like she was being self-righteous by <b>FOLLOWING HIS ADVICE!</b>

  I love how Phil said &quot;your only duty as a parent is to provide food and shelter&quot; (which is horribly incorrect), then has no problems sending kids to a ranch which deprives kids of... food and shelter.

  Dr. Phil is a monster! The episode that proved this was involving a father molesting his daughter. The parents were no longer together, &nbsp;so the father had visitations. The mother had long suspected he was harming the daughter and would protest outside the courthouse and his home with signs and other people. Dr. Phil ripped into the mother and said SHE was crazy. When the mother would pick up the daughter who was about 4-6 years old, she would immediately say, &quot;I had a great time and dad didn&apos;t touch my privates&quot;. Dr. Phil even framed the show as the &quot;crazy mom was over protective mom going through any length to ruin a father daughter relationship&quot;. WELP, the dad was eventually arrested for possession of CP and distributing it. Dr. Phil invited the mother back on the show for damage control, but by that time it was too late for him to save face. I hated him ever since.

  My brother was murdered by his wife. &nbsp;Dr. Phil invited my family, but we passed. &nbsp;My brothers wife&apos;s family agreed to come on and basically told a story with fabricated facts unchecked. &nbsp;They said if we didn&apos;t like it we could come and respond, we passed again because we didn&apos;t see a purpose or point. &nbsp;Her family came on again after my brother&apos;s wife was convicted and put in prison. Once again we passed and Phil sided with them. Screw him.

  I love the fact that my abnormal psychology textbook had a whole section about how Dr. Phil renounced his license to practice so that he didn&apos;t have to follow the APAs media presence guidelines in order to lie and present factually incorrect/outdated information

  I remember the day my opinion of Dr Phil changed. Two parents brought their daughter to the show, and talked about how terrible she was during the opening scenes. My mom and I were ready to see her be a problem child, but during the interview I found myself sympathizing with her more and more. Her parents were quick to shut her down and throw allegations her way, while she sobbed and tried to defend herself. I don&apos;t remember what caused it, but the mom cut her daughter off with &quot;She&apos;s just being dramatic again&quot; after a serious allegation she made. I remembered hearing that line from adults when I came to them with real problems. It seriously made me reconsider what a victim is, and how Phil sensationalizes them. I couldn&apos;t comfortably watch the show after that.

  Here’s the thing: Dr. Phil seems to assume that the guests need him, when in reality, HE is the one who needs his guests. Without his guests, his show could NEVER exist.
