  The older male has cataracts and is visibly  scarred. There is another male in the background. Lions are gangsters and these older two live to outnumber an unwelcome male and would charge at the single lion- if they didn't know him. The intruding male appears to recognize the sleeping male and the territory. I think this is the passing of the torch from an old male coalition to a returning nomadic son. I think it's a passive take-over because the younger one is scent marking in the older one's territory and doesn't get charged.

  This is one of the best real wild lion footage I&apos;ve seen. &nbsp;Super high quality camera (I can see the veins on the young lion&apos;s lean body), no engine noise from safari vehicles and no humans heard giggling or laughing in the back. &nbsp;<br><br>Super intense, male lion tip-toeing because he know&apos;s there&apos;s trouble ahead only to be so confident when the threat is revealed he doesn&apos;t even look but decides to mark the tree, I&apos;ve only seen dominant males do that to non-dominants in their pride. &nbsp;Who&apos;s territory is it, the tip-toeing young male or the old warrior king lying in the grass? &nbsp;Who&apos;s the 3rd male laying in the background just watching things unfold? &nbsp;Were they nomads therefore didn&apos;t want to fight? &nbsp;Fascinating.

  The Younger Lion is in his pure prime, looks healthy and his mane coloration is perfect, &nbsp;Black then fades to blonde👌! &nbsp;That old lion is OLD, &nbsp;his mane has a color iv never seen before, has one eye and yellow teeth...He&apos;s fortunate to have lived this long, they say only 1 out of 8 male lions live to reach peak maturity

  young male already had a spine scar, usually happens with a 2 on 1 battle, but perhaps this big guy won that battle. He is big like makhulu
