Stealing the Golden Saints from Meridia seems like the type of thing Sheogorath would do, though.

She's kinda like the sun itself: bright and important to life, but also causes skin cancer

Spite, Pettyness, and hatred of the undead to the point a Vigilant of Stendar could admire. I can't help but think of Meridia grinning like an idiot if you wield Dawnbreaker while siding with the Dawnguard.

"Yes, fly my pretty! Send Bal's children screaming into the void with my blade!"

I’d be pissed too if one minute I’m in heaven living my best life as a star and the next I have to spend eternity in the Mos Eisly Cantina that is Oblivion.

 "I hate Disorder..."
"Then why do you mess with Time so much?"
"Because it makes Akatosh mad. Watch this"
Plucks time like a guitar string
Angry dragon noises as Meridia giggles

I always interpreted the "illicit spectra" line to mean "illicit colours" rather than "illicit spectres". I thought it was alluding to her practicing forbidden magics rather than allying with another daedra.

My Nightengale-hooded Dawnbreaker-weilding Dawnguarder knows exactly who she is.

Fun fact! The 7 Magna-gi are a reference to one of humanity’s confirmable oldest stories, the 7 sisters at about 50,000 years old. We know this because the story is about one of the sisters leaving in some way, though it changes how and why. We only see 6 stars, because one of them has went behind another from our perspective, but with modern telescopes we discovered it actually was there and visible to the naked eye about 50,000 years ago. Pretty cool huh?

Meridia's greed to the Khajit may be justified by the time shared (and perhaps fought over) by day/the sun (Meridia/Magnus), twilight (Azura), and night (Nocturnal), thus opposing the Khajit's favor for darker/moonlit hours

I think the Daedra that Meridia would have been most likely to conspire with was Azura.

Also as for why the golden saints are in Meridia’s Realm that’s easy, because there’s nothing stopping the lesser Daedra from serving another Daedric Prince. For example Dark Seducers have been known to serve Molagbal, Dagon, Nocturnal despite being created by Sheogorath.

The "Greed" aspect makes sense when you consider her words and actions in Skyrim. She wants you to spread her light, and that "a plant cares not where the light comes from." You could take this to be talking about mortals, but I wouldn't be surprised if she was talking about herself too in the analogy.

I love how Daggerfall just makes Sheogorath seem like a stock Irish Noble. XD
