  I personally believe that Sheogorath&apos;s pranks at the expense of the other Daedra are part of his revenge. &nbsp;He seeks to make the other Daedra regret changing him into the god of madness by inflicting as much madness as possible.<br><br>Existentially, he brings up an interesting circumstance when madness would have either not existed or existed without him. &nbsp;I bet he&apos;d LOVE the idea of intellectuals trying to think about that.

  I feel like Sheogorath has been tumblrified. &quot;Hes just a quirky dude.&quot; Makes no sense when he will just turn your skin inside out on impulse. He created the first instruments in Tamriel by carving a women up just because. His closest media counter-part in my opinion is Bill Cipher. Hes not a fun dude. He also doesnt like cheese, the line in Oblivion is literally him comparing the player to a mouse in a trap. Its more of a community joke than an in universe fact.

  Your theory that Sheogorath is sane, but is so clever that he seems insane to us, reminds me of that one debate about DC&apos;s Joker actually being perfectly sane, and he only acts the way he does because he knows that he&apos;s in a comic. Similar to Marvel&apos;s Deadpool, but without the fourth wall breaking.

  Sheogorath&apos;s greatest achievements are when he does absolutely nothing. Take, for example, the wizard that cut a deal with him. Sheogorath ignored the deal entirely, and offered his own deal; he would grant the wizard a wish, if the wizard could Withstand one year of Sheogorath Attempting to drive the wizard insane.<br><br>In the end, the wizard went MAD with Paranoia, fearing anything he might do to be a trap laid by Sheogorath.<br><br>But the Skooma Cat had done nothing at all, and in doing so, ensured the paranoia and madness of the wizard without lifting a finger.
