  There is NOT a housing crisis in Cornwall. There are many houses on the market but they are unaffordable for people who have to survive on Cornwall wages!

  I'm 40, have worked full time in a professional position for the last 18 years, 40k salary. No savings and living pay check to pay check. 60% of my salary goes on rent, another 10% on council tax, another 10% on energy and water. This leaves me with a grand total of 20% of my earnings a month to survive off. Life as a single person is almost impossible in the UK now. I was way better off 12 years ago. Inflation and wage stagnation is brutal.

  Bloke renting out all the properties doesn&apos;t gent the irony of what he&apos; s saying. Those people are in vans because of landlords like him owning all the properties and rinsing people to live in them. Blaming the government - typical of everything wrong with a lot of people in this country.

  Peter (and people like him) are the reason people have no choice but to either be homeless or Live in Vans, My 1 bed Flat (with a small Garden) was £340 back in 2005, That same flat today is now £1,750 a month, and the very reason i became homeless, Peter doesn&apos;t want to solve the problem, He wants it away from his &quot;customers&quot; windows
